TLDR: Radix DLT Ltd (the development company) is becoming RDX Works Ltd.
As detailed in the “Entities in the Radix Ecosystem” Radix Learn article, the founders’ philosophy is (and always has been) to decentralize everything critical to the functionality of the network and to achieve the vision of making Radix the decentralized network where developers will be able to build quickly without the constant threat of exploits and hacks, where every improvement will get rewarded, and where scale will never be a bottleneck.
Multiple legal entities (companies) have been created to expedite the delivery of the various components needed to achieve this goal, with each company responding to different regulators and having different legal, regulatory, tax, and accounting considerations.
One of the main entities involved in delivering the Radix Public network is Radix DLT Ltd, the primary developer of the Radix public ledger codebase, as well as various additional products and services such as Instabridge.
As part of ongoing efforts to create a better understanding of the different companies and ensure there is a clear differentiation between them, Radix DLT Ltd has been renamed RDX Works Ltd. All other details of the company are remaining the same, as detailed in the learn article.
There are unlikely to be any noticeable changes as a result of this name change, other than seeing the new name in places such as the bios of RDX Works Ltd team members, and this article is just to ensure the Radix community, as well as current and future partners, are aware of the change.
