Early access to Instabridge is now live! Those with verified Instapass accounts are now able to start converting eXRD to XRD. To get started, we suggest reading the Radix Learn Article “How to convert your eXRD for XRD on Instabridge”.
Instabridge is the first option eXRD token holders have for converting eXRD to XRD for use on the Radix Public Network. Exchange partners, such as Bitfinex, are also integrating XRD and will be providing the ability to convert between eXRD and XRD and will be announced when they are live.
Please note, during this early access phase, we will be manually approving eXRD to XRD conversions to ensure a smooth experience. Please be aware that this will likely cause swaps to take a few hours to complete, or up to 48 hours depending on demand.
Instapass and Instabridge
If you would like to use Instabridge to convert your eXRD to XRD, you will first need to ensure you have a verified Instapass account. You can create your Instapass identity by following the instructions here.
Once you have created your Instapass identity and it has been verified, you will then need to make sure any Ethereum or Radix wallets you wish to use with Instabridge are linked to your Instapass account. A guide for connecting your Ethereum (eXRD) or Radix (XRD) wallets to your Instapass account can be found here.
Staking XRD on Radix
With the launch of Instabridge, you are now able to convert your eXRD to XRD ready for staking on the Radix Public Network.
Currently, the Radix Public Network is in its bootstrapping epoch, which means that there are currently no network emissions being released. This bootstrapping epoch will end around August 11th and normal epochs will begin. These epochs are expected to be between 30-90 minutes and will start the annual 300m XRD emissions which are distributed by the network to users who are staking to validators who are participating in consensus. You can read more about how emissions are distributed here.
Due to emissions being calculated per epoch, there is no rush to stake immediately. If you stake a day or two later, the difference in emissions is likely to be negligible over a month or year of staking.
Selecting the validator nodes you stake to is an important choice for Radix token holders, not only determining potential staking rewards but also in improving the security and decentralization of the Radix Public Network. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you, the decentralized community of XRD token holders who decide which validators verify transactions, take the time to research which nodes you plan to stake your XRD to. We have published some advice on how to choose which validator to stake to here.
